Over the past three years, Merak GF has had the privilege of sharing our family recipes with our community, right here in the Redlands. Our team pores over each new dish we add to our menu — experimenting and adapting loved favourites that we’re confident every member of your family will love.
We source our produce and ingredients locally, partnering with locals (and pillaging our garden) to deliver exceptionally fresh and tasty dishes year-round. Our seasonal menu is designed with care and attention and packed full of comfort classics and homestyle favourites.
After discovering autoimmune issues and allergies within our own family, we set out on a journey to create meals and baked goods that were safe to eat — and incredibly delicious. Little did we know that this new way of eating was to become such a big part of our destiny.
It was through a serendipitous moment in time, that our family was able to band together to bake and sell our delicious gluten-free cakes and baked donuts at various Queensland markets. As the popularity for our cakes grew, we began to explore the possibility of starting our very own gluten-free cafe.
We understand more than most how important it is to create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome, relaxed and completely taken care of.

Coeliac Australia (CA) reports that 88.5% of gluten-free and coeliac customers feel anxious at the thought of dining out, which can become very complicated and even life threatening. This not only impacts those that are coeliac or gluten free, but also their families and friends!
